Compliance Modes: Listener, Permissive, Strict
Compliance Mode Definitions
Compliance modes determine how the Osano popup runs on your site. Once the osano.js is placed in the <head> of your site, you do not need to remove it; you can simply change the compliance modes to change the popup's behavior.
- Listener Mode
- Osano will gather script and cookie information for categorization, but the consent dialog will not appear on your webpage, and no blocking will occur.
- Permissive Mode
- The consent dialog will appear on your website, and all managed scripts/cookies will execute as expected. HOWEVER, all uncategorized scripts/cookies will be identified and allowed regardless of consent given.
- Strict Mode
- The consent dialog will appear on your website, and all managed scripts/cookies will execute as expected. HOWEVER, all uncategorized scripts/cookies will be identified and BLOCKED. (Most Compliant)
