Osano automatically displays a compliant banner to each end-user based on their geo-targeted location.
Banners by Region
Osano utilizes the end user's I.P. address to pinpoint their location and displays a consent dialog that is most consistent with privacy laws in their region. Below is a list of regions and banners that are associated with each region. Refer to the "Key" for further explanation of consent banners. All banners can be previewed in the "Style" section of your consent manager configuration.
** NOTE: You cannot change which popup the end-user sees as Osano automatically displays the correct popup to each end-user based on their geo-targeted location (I.P. Addresses). The popup shown will be that which is most compliant in the user's location. **
To see examples of each banner view the consent banner gallery.
Changes to Regulations
The Osano team manages and maintains these popups. Our team of privacy experts and attorneys strive to keep abreast of changes and modifications of global privacy laws as they arise. We then interpret these changes or recommendations and update or adjust our consent popups on a location-by-location basis were required to keep you compliant. Any changes made to popups in particular regions will be released into the Consent Manager product and communicated via in-app alerts.
- Opt-Out vs. Opt-In
- Is the end-user required to Opt-In to non-essential categories by default, or are they required to Opt-Out non-essential categories?
- Note: "On Timer" denotes that the popup style disappears on its own after x seconds pass. "X" is configurable within the Osano application. Cookie popup #1 is currently the only popup type that adheres to this timer.
- Analytics On vs. Analytics Off:
- Is the "Analytics" category of scripts/cookies turned on by default or turned off by default?
- Show Categories vs. No Categories:
- Does the end-user see each script/cookie category in the initial consent dialog by default or not?
** NOTE: This list is likely to change as new compliance and privacy laws are introduced. Osano will make the necessary updates to the mapping if/when changes are made.**
