Consent Manager Configurations and Organizations
Only three user roles have access to Consent Manager Configurations (CMP). To access any CMP features, users must have one of the following roles:
Admin
- Full read/write access to all features and functionalities within the Osano platform
Consent Manager
- Read/write access to “Management” -> “Consent Management”. This user can add and modify configurations but cannot DELETE configs (Only Admins can delete configurations).
Consent Viewer
- Read access to “Management” -> “Consent Management”.
To see a detailed breakdown of user roles view the linked USER ROLE MATRIX or the related article Osano User Roles.
Assigning Consent Manager Configurations to Organizations
Consent manager configurations to an Organization(s) at the time of the configuration's creation OR after creation by modifying that configuration.
Note: Administrators and Consent Managers can assign configurations to 0 or more Organizations. If a configuration has NO ORGANIZATION assigned, ALL users with the appropriate roles across all Organizations can access it.
Example:
An Administrator or Consent Manager creates a Consent Manager Configuration called “Europe (EU)” and associates it with the organization "Europe." ONLY Consent Managers and Consent Viewers who are part of the organization “Europe” can access this Configuration.
Adding Organizations at the Time of Creation:
- Navigate to Consent Management.
- Click the (+) button to add a new CMP configuration.
- Fill out the required fields: Name, Domain, Policy URL.
- Adjust any additional settings.
- Add the desired Organization (s) to this user.
- Click "Save."
- Click "Publish."
- The consent manager configuration is created with the Organization(s) attached. This Configuration is only accessible to users with the appropriate roles that belong to the same Organization(s).
Note: If a consent manager config belongs to multiple organizations, members of all designated organizations will have access to that config. If a configuration has NO ORGANIZATION assigned, it is accessible to ALL users with the appropriate roles across all Organizations.
Adding Organizations after Creation:
- Navigate to Consent Management.
- Click on the desired Consent Manager Configuration.
- Add/Edit the selected Organization(s).
- Click "Save."
- Click "Publish."
- The consent manager configuration is now modified with the Organization(s) attached.
Note: If a consent manager config belongs to multiple organizations, members of all designated organizations will have access to that config. If a configuration has NO ORGANIZATION assigned, it is accessible to ALL users with the appropriate roles across all Organizations.
