TrustHub - Settings, Styles, and Pages

Overview

TrustHub provides comprehensive configuration options across three main areas: Settings, Styles, and Pages. This guide covers options available to help you customize your TrustHub experience and create a cohesive privacy system that works for you.

Settings

The Settings page allows you to configure the fundamental aspects of your TrustHub pages, including navigation, content, and organization.

  • Subdomain (Established when TrustHub is initally created)

  • Site Title

    • Usage: Appears in the top left of your TrustHub page

  • Parent URL

    • Purpose: Configures the return link to your main website

    • Usage: Enter the URL where users should be directed when clicking "Return to Parent Site"

    • Example: "<https://yourcompany.com>"

  • Global Content

    • Purpose: Adds content that appears on every TrustHub page

    • Usage: Enter text, HTML, or links that should appear on all pages

  • Common Uses:

    • Company contact information

    • Legal disclaimers

    • Navigation links

    • Footer content

  • Table of Contents

    • Purpose: Manages links to all your TrustHub pages

    • Features:

      • Automatic Links: Shows all currently published TrustHub pages

      • Manual Links: Add custom links using the "Add Links" button

        • External Link: Link to your existing privacy pages outside of TrustHub

        • Subject Rights Form Link: Link to your Osano subject rights/DSAR forms

Styles

The Styles page controls the visual appearance of your TrustHub pages, allowing you to match your brand and create a professional presentation.

  • Imagery Options

    • Logo

      • Purpose: Upload your company logo to replace the default branding

      • Placement: Appears in the header of all TrustHub pages

  • Favicon

    • Purpose: Replace the default Osano favicon with your own

    • Usage: Appears in browser tabs and bookmarks

  • Hero Image

    • Purpose: Add a banner image to your TrustHub pages

    • Placement: Appears at the top of pages, below the header

  • Custom CSS

    • Purpose: Apply custom stylesheet to affect the look and feel of TrustHub pages

    • Usage: Enter a CSS file URL

    • Benefits:

      • More granular control over styling

      • Custom fonts and typography

      • Advanced layout modifications

      • Brand-specific styling

  • Color Customization

    • TrustHub provides color picker options for various page elements. You can use:

      • Color Picker: Visual color selection tool

      • RGBA Values: Red, Green, Blue, Alpha values

      • Hex Codes: Standard hexadecimal color codes

  • Available Options

    • Primary Text

    • Secondary Text

    • Header Background

    • Header Text

    • Hero Text

    • Page Background

Pages

The Pages section provides an overview of all your TrustHub pages and their current status.

  • For each page, you can see:

    • Page Title - title of the TrustHub page

    • URL Path - web address path for the page

    • Updated - when the page was last modified

    • Updated By - which user made the last change

    • Status - current state of the page (Private, Up-to-date, Unpublished changes)

  • You can also use the 3 Dot Menu to:

    • Get Code - View the code to embed the TrustHub page on your own site

    • View Page - View the TrustHub page on your TrustHub site

    • Delete - Delete the TrustHub page

Publishing Methods

TrustHub offers two different methods for publishing pages, each with their own advantages:

  • Publish Page

    • Purpose: Immediately publish changes to make the page publicly accessible

    • Process:

      • Click the "Publish Page" button

      • A prompt will open allowing you to add a comment describing the changes made in this revision

      • Enter your comment and confirm to publish immediately

    • Use Case: When you want to make changes live right away

    • Comment Feature: Helps track what changes were made and why

  • Schedule Publish

    • Purpose: Set up a future time to automatically publish the page

    • Process:

      • Click the calendar button beside the "Publish Page" button

      • A calendar modal will open allowing you to select a future date and time

      • Add a comment describing the changes made in this revision

      • Confirm the scheduled publish time

    • Use Case: When you want to prepare content in advance or coordinate with other team activities

    • Benefits:

      • Plan content releases in advance

      • Coordinate with marketing campaigns

      • Ensure content goes live at optimal times

Activity Log

The Activity Log provides a record of all historical changes made to a TrustHub page.

  • Purpose: Review past edits and restore previous versions if needed

  • Features:

    • Change History: View a chronological list of all revisions made to the page

    • User Tracking: See which user made each change and when

    • Restore: Revert the page to a previous version to undo unwanted edits

    • Copy to Clipboard: Quickly copy details of a specific change for sharing or documentation

  • Use Case: Helps maintain version control, track edits across team members, and recover from mistakes or accidental changes
