What's new for Osano in August 2026

Note: Any Consent Manager Platform (CMP) changes will be inherited by consent manager configurations after they are republished. Please be sure to test all changes.

Enhancements

• August 26 11:07 AM CDT

  • Compliance Check

    • Reject All Check: Compliance Check now tests whether a site actually honors a visitor’s “Reject All” choice. After simulating a visitor selecting “Reject All” in the consent banner, Osano continues monitoring the site to determine whether any non-essential trackers keep running. This helps teams confirm that opt-out choices are not only acknowledged by the banner, but also enforced in practice.

    • CIPA Check: Compliance Check now detects whether trackers with known California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) risk load before a visitor has provided consent. This helps teams identify pre-consent tracking behavior associated with common CIPA litigation patterns, including technologies such as analytics and marketing trackers that may create legal exposure if they fire before consent is given.

    • You can now filter and view the source of privacy requests submitted through authorized agent emails.

    • Updated the labels shown in the privacy request list's status filters and columns to more clearly describe each request's status.

    • We've refreshed the Forms list in Subject Rights: choose between a new card view or the classic table, see how many open requests and action items each form has at a glance, and get to the right form faster with a streamlined actions menu. Copying a form's embed code, HTML snippet, or public link now takes one click from the same menu.

    • We've also refreshed the settings experience for your DSAR forms: one-click access to your form's embed code and public link, save-as-you-go on every settings tab, and simpler toggle controls for auto-rejection, CAPTCHA, and consumer login settings.
