Using Consent Search in Osano CMP

What it's for

Consent Search lets you look up a specific visitor's consent record on your website, such as when a customer requests details about what they consented to, or when you need to verify a consent was recorded correctly.

Where to find it

Consent Search is available within your Cookie Consent configuration, under the Consent Search tab.

How to search

Use the "Search by" dropdown to choose one of three identifiers, then enter the value:

You only need one of these to find a match, no need to combine identifiers.

Narrowing your search

The Filters panel lets you refine results further by:

  • Consent Date Range

  • IP Address

  • External User ID

  • Consent Categories (e.g. Essential, Marketing, Personalization, Analytics)

  • Language

  • Country

  • Region (state/province)

  • Platform (Web, iOS, Android, or React Native variants)

  • Domain

Each result row shows the consent date/time (in UTC), User Consent ID, the categories consented to, language, country, region, platform, and the domain the record was saved for.

A couple of things to keep in mind

  • New consents can take some time to become searchable after they're recorded, so don't be alarmed if a just-collected consent doesn't show up instantly.

  • Consent Search is built for looking up a specific record you already have some identifying detail for, rather than browsing your full consent history.
