Monitoring Policy Changes

  • Updated

In Osano, you'll find indicators that classify changes to documents as either major or minor. These indicators help you understand the significance of changes and how they impact policy reviews.

Minor Changes

  • Minor changes are considered low-impact and do not trigger a re-review by Osano's attorneys.

  • These could include:

    • Formatting adjustments

    • Spelling corrections

    • Non-substantive wording changes

Major Changes - "Substantive Changes"

  • Major changes are significant and do trigger a re-review by Osano's attorneys.

  • These may include:

    • Substantial content updates

    • Changes affecting legal terms or privacy practices

    • Revisions that could alter the meaning or interpretation of the document

How Osano Determines Change Type

Osano's algorithm evaluates multiple factors to classify changes, including:

  • The extent of changes within the document.

  • The types of words that have changed, focusing on terms related to legal obligations, privacy practices, or data usage.
