Text Customization for Osano Cookie Consent Manager

Osano provides pre-approved text translations that comply with privacy standards. While you can customize this text, doing so may affect compliance guarantees.

Steps to Customize Text

  1. Log in as an Administrator
  2. Go to Cookie Consent and Open Configuration
  3. Navigate to "Text Customization" on the Left Sidebar
  4. Choose the language to translate
  5. Update any text box as desired
  6. Click Save changes

Languages with customized text will appear highlighted in yellow in the language list:

Note: If a custom translation is not provided for a given language, Osano will use its default, pre-approved version.

Important Notes

  • Osano uses default text for any language you do not customize.
  • You can edit, delete, or add translations at any time.
  • Preview changes by selecting a location from the world map in the Preview tab.

⚠️ Custom text renders Osano’s “No Fines, No Penalties” guarantee null and void. Compliance cannot be guaranteed for customized language.

If using IAB TCF 2.0 Support: Only Buttons and Category Names can be customized. All other language is locked to IAB's standards to ensure compliance.

First Layer Customization Mapping

 
Osano has 6 formats (4 active, 2 inactive) of the cookie consent banner that may appear to an end user based on where they are accessing from in the world. Each of these banners may contain language specific to that banner.
