Text Customization for Osano Cookie Consent Manager

Osano provides pre-approved text translations that comply with privacy standards. While you can customize this text, doing so may affect compliance guarantees.

  2. Call-to-Action Buttons
  3. Category Names
  4. Do Not Sell Modal

IMPORTANT: Locations that display banner template #6 do not support language customization. See which jurisdictions apply this popup HERE.

How to Customize

- Log in as an Administrator

- Go to Consent Management

- Select the Configuration to modify

- Navigate to "Customizations"

- Scroll to "Text Customizations"

- Expand the options to view editable strings

- Click on the text to modify

- Choose the language to translate

- Update the text as desired

- Save changes

 

NOTE: For all locations/translations for which you do not provide a translation, Osano will default back to the default text for that language. If you would like to enforce a SINGLE language and translation, you can do that by updating the translation for each supported language to your desired text. 

 

Important Notes

  • Osano uses default text for languages you don't customize.
  • To enforce a single language, update all translations to your desired text.
  • You can edit, delete, or add translations later.
  • View changes by selecting a location on the world map.

WARNING: Note that utilizing text customization renders the "No Fines" pledge null and void. When customization is in use, Osano can no longer guarantee compliance in the language presented.

Note: If you are utilizing IAB TCF 2.0 Support, you will be able to customize the Buttons and the Category Names. All other language is non-customizable as the IAB prescribes the text in order to maintain compliance.

Osano has 6 versions of the cookie consent banner that may appear to an end user based on where they are accessing from in the world. Each of these banners may contain language specific to that banner.
