What is geo-fencing?
Geo-fencing is a feature that can be enabled on a request form significantly reduce existing request workloads.
Geo-fencing works by detecting the location a requester is submitting their request from and then automatically rejecting and received request if that request is received from a jurisdiction not covered by a privacy law.
Requesters submitting requests from a non-covered jurisdiction will immediately receive a rejection email informing them their request has been rejected because it was submitted from a non-covered jurisdiction:
Enabling Geo-Fencing
To enable geo-fencing for a form:
- Login to Osano
- Click on 'Forms' within the Subject Rights section of the left-hand navigation panel:
- Click on the form you'd like to enable geo-fencing for in your forms list.
- Scroll down to the Geo-fencing toggle in the Details tab, and click to turn this toggle on:
