Handling Incorrect Lawsuit Alerts
Osano monitors court records to keep you informed about relevant lawsuits involving the vendors you follow. While our system is designed for accuracy, there may be occasional mismatches due to the nature of the data.
Why Incorrect Alerts Happen
Court records can be highly unstructured, and Osano uses fuzzy pattern matching to associate defendants in lawsuits with the vendors you're tracking. This method works well, but it can occasionally produce incorrect matches.
For example, if you're following a vendor with a common or short name like "Ford," you might receive alerts for lawsuits involving other entities that also start with "Ford."
What to Do If You Receive an Incorrect Alert
If you believe an alert you've received is incorrect, just reach out to our support team. We'll review the alert and adjust the matching algorithm for that vendor promptly to reduce future mismatches.
