Assessments template reference

  • Updated

A template is the set of sections, questions, and answer types that make up an assessment that can be assigned through the Osano assessment workflow. Templates should have a unique name that will be recognized when an assignment is being created.

A section organizes questions in a template. In the assignment workflow, each section appears on its own tab, and users can easily navigate between them.

A question is the basic component of an assessment that assignees answer. They may be required or not required.

Helper text allows you to provide instructions or examples to help your respondents answer the question.

Answer types indicate what sort of answer is expected and how it will be displayed.

  • Checkboxes provide the respondent with a multiple-choice option where more than one answer may be selected.
  • Date provides the respondent with a calendar to enter a date.
  • Dropdown provides the respondent with a multiple-choice option where only one answer may be selected. It is similar to radio buttons but works better for longer lists.
  • Evidence Upload provides the respondent with the ability to upload a file as documentation for an answer.
  • Radio buttons provide the respondent with a multiple-choice option where only one answer may be selected. It is similar to dropdown but works better for shorter lists.
  • Text input provides respondents with a field to add plain text

Save allows you to save an in-progress template.

Publish makes the template available to be assigned in the assessment assignment workflow.
