The Request Details Page

The Request Details page contains critical information about received subject rights requests. Within the page you will find three subsections: Status, Request Information, and Activity Log. 

At the top of the page is the following information:

  • Request ID: The header at the top of each request displays request id information, a unique identifier that allows user to search for and/or identify each request.
  • Status: To the far right of the header the current status of the request displays.
  • Email: This is the email the requester entered when submitting the request.
  • Request Type: This is the type of request the requester entered when submitting the request.
  • Due: This is the date the request is due. This will be the earlier date between the regulatory due date or the internal due date set on the form the request was submitted through.

Status

This subsection shows the standard status of this request - what step in the process is it in, which steps/assignments have been completed, and which remain open or in progress. 

  • Verification Status: Shows whether the email and ID verification processes have been completed.
  • Data Store Details: Provides information about data stores involved, including assignees, statuses, and any notifications sent to third parties.
  • Action Items: Lists all tasks associated with the request, their current status, and any pending actions required.
  • Messaging Portal: This page also includes access to the secure messaging portal for this request. This portal allows you and your team to securely communicate with the data subject about the status of this request.

Request Information

This subsection displays general details such as the request ID, status, request type, email address, and custom-field information. Default fields include:

  • Request ID: Unique identifier used for tracking the request
  • Created From: The method the request was created e.g. API, Web Form, etc.
  • Form Name: Form the request was submitted through. Users can click on the form name displayed here to navigate directly to that form's configuration page.
  • Request Type (Internal): Request type value used to track request within Osano.
  • Request Type (External): Public facing request type value.
  • Request Type Instructions (External): Public facing request type instructions.
  • Requestor Type: Type of requestor making the request e.g. customer, employee etc.
  • Internal Due Date: Request deadlines determine by internal due date on the form.
  • Regulatory Due Date: Due date of the request based on the privacy law in effect for the requester's jurisdiction.
  • Email: Email address the requester entered when submitting the request.
  • First Name: First name the requester entered when submitting the request.
  • Last Name: Last name the requester entered when submitting the request.
  • Language: Language of requester determined at page load.
  • System Identified Location: Location determined at page load.
  • User Selected Location: Location submitted with request.
  • Privacy Law: Privacy law determined by location submitted with request.
  • Privacy Law Deadline: Request deadline determined by privacy law.

Activity Log

The subsection offers a high-level audit trail of the request, including when actions were taken and by whom. You can also include internal notes about this request in the activity log section.
