The Request Details Page
The Request Details page contains critical information about received subject rights requests. Within the page you will find three subsections: Status, Request Information, and Activity Log.
At the top of the page is the following information:
- Request ID: The header at the top of each request displays request id information, a unique identifier that allows user to search for and/or identify each request.
- Email: This is the email the requester entered when submitting the request.
- Request Type: This is the type of request the requester entered when submitting the request.

Status: To the current status of the request.
- Current statuses include:
- Email Verification – The request has been submitted but the requester has not verified that they control their email address by clicking on the magic link sent to their email.
- ID Verification – The request has been email verified but the subject rights manager has not verified the identity of the requester by evaluating the evidence submitted by the requester.
- Action Items – The request has passed all forms of verification and action items have been generated to facilitate request processing but all action items have not yet been completed and reviewed by the subject rights manager.
- Review and Complete – All action items have been completed and reviewed by the subject rights manager but the final response has not been to the requester and the request remains open.
- Completed – The request has been marked complete by the subject rights manager.
- Rejected – The request has been marked rejected by the subject rights manager.
- Rejected Automatically – The request has been rejected automatically because the request has matched some criteria for auto-rejection as established on the form the request was submitted through i.e. the request is a duplicate of another request in progress, the request has been pending email verification for greater than 21 days, etc.
- Current statuses include:
- Due: This is the date the request is due. This will be the earlier date between the regulatory due date or the internal due date set on the form the request was submitted through.
Status
This tab shows the standard status of this request - what step in the process is it in, which steps/assignments have been completed, and which remain open or in progress:
- Verification: Shows whether email verification and ID verification (when enabled) has been completed for the request.
- Action Items: Lists all tasks associated with the request, their current status, and any pending actions required.
- Review and Complete: Consolidates files added to each action item and allows you to package them together to send to the requester prior to completing the request.
Once a request has moved past a given status you can review previous steps in request processing by hovering over the listed status and clicking to view that portion of the request:
Request Information
This tab displays general details such as the request ID, status, request type, email address, and custom-field information. Default fields include:
- Request ID: Unique identifier used for tracking the request
- Created: Date the request was created.
- Created From: The method the request was created e.g. API, Web Form, etc.
- Form Name: Form the request was submitted through. Users can click on the form name displayed here to navigate directly to that form's configuration page.
- Request Type (Internal): Request type value used to track request within Osano.
- Request Type (External): Public facing request type value.
- Request Type Instructions (External): Public facing request type instructions.
- Requestor Type: Type of requestor making the request e.g. customer, employee etc.
- Internal Due Date: Request deadlines determine by internal due date on the form.
- Regulatory Due Date: Due date of the request based on the privacy law in effect for the requester's jurisdiction.
- Email: Email address the requester entered when submitting the request.
- First Name: First name the requester entered when submitting the request.
- Last Name: Last name the requester entered when submitting the request.
- Language: Language of requester determined at page load.
- System Identified Location: Location determined at page load.
- User Selected Location: Location submitted with request.
- Privacy Law: Privacy law determined by location submitted with request.
- Privacy Law Deadline: Request deadline determined by privacy law.
Any custom fields added to a form will display on this tab below the default fields above.
Message Portal
This tab displays the history of correspondence between the requester and subject rights manager. A count of messages from the requester will display right-adjusted on the navigation bar:
Messages can be sent to the requester through the secure messaging portal by entering some content and clicking the 'Send' icon at the bottom right of the page.
Attachments can be added to the content of a message by clicking the 'Attachment' icon to the left of the 'Send icon.
Message content can be also by populated by pre-created custom templates on the subject rights form.

Activity Log
The tab offers a high-level audit trail of the request, including when actions were taken and by whom. You can also include internal notes about this request in the activity log section:
