What's new for Osano in August 2024

Note: Any Consent Manager Platform (CMP) changes will be inherited by consent manager configurations after they are republished. Please be sure to test all changes.

Enhancements

- Assessments
  - You can now link assessment answers to fields in data stores to make answering assessments easier and to keep your data consistent. Linked data store fields will automatically populate assessment answers so that you only have to fill out key information like purpose of processing, country, or data classifications once. In addition, if information changes in the assessment, it is automatically updated in the data store. To learn more, click here.

- Data Mapping
  - Four new Cloud DB integrations have been released to support data mapping:
  - The same system discovered across multiple sources will now appear grouped together on the Discovered Data page to make it easier to identify and manage duplicate data across sources.

- Assessments
  - For any assessment linked to a vendor, for example a DPIA, you can now see the Osano Vendor Privacy Score when assigning the assessment.

- Subject Rights
  - Subject Rights Managers can now import a CSV to create requests that were received outside Osano.
  - The request information tab on the Request Details page has been updated for improved usability.

- Cookie Consent
  - The Osano CMP IAB TCF 2.2 implementation has been updated based on feedback from the IAB:
    - - The Purposes view has been updated to allow for per-purpose modifications in addition to the current categories.
      - Category names have been updated to match the IAB TCF's stack language.

- Cookie Consent
  - Osano and Shopify release Shopify App for greater support for Shopify plus customers. Updated installation documentation for Shopify customers can be found here.

- Cookie Consent
  - Resolved an issue where Cookie Consent banners with legacy browser support and/or cross domain enabled were not showing consistently in implied consent locations.

- Cookie Consent
  - Resolved an issue where some customers would see many Osano blobs executing in the Network tab on their site when an asynchronous script or iframe reused a 'src' attribute. Now if a new asynchronous script or iframe reuses a `src` attribute, classification data from prior classification runs against the same `src` will be used.
