Steps to Delete a User

Only administrators have the ability to delete users from an Osano account. To delete a user, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Settings:

    • Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
    • In the dropdown menu, navigate to Users.
  2. Find the User:

    • A list of users will be displayed. Locate the user you want to delete.
  3. Delete the User:

    • Click the trash can icon next to the user’s name on the right side of the list.
    • Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Q: Why Can't I Delete User X?

A: There are some cases where a user cannot be deleted:

  • Account Owner Restriction: If the user you are trying to delete is the account owner, they cannot be removed directly. Osano requires an account to have an owner at all times.

    • Solution: If you need to remove the account owner, you must first change the ownership of the account. To do this, submit a support ticket to Osano with the following details:
      • The current account owner’s email.
      • The new owner's email and relevant information.

Once the ownership has been transferred, you will be able to delete the previous account owner if necessary.
