Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are alerts or notifications real time?
A: No, notifications are not real time. They are received around 4:30pm UTC the following day.
Q: Is there a way I can get real time alerts?
A: The only product that offers real-time alerting is the DSAR product. This type of alerting can be done via Webhooks that can be connected to tools like Slack and JIRA to create notifications and tasks in near real-time.
Q: Why am I not receiving DSAR alerts?
A: There are a few reasons why you may be expecting but not receiving DSAR alerts:
1.) Your DSAR settings might be set to weekly or never. Please review your settings.
2.) DSAR alerts are not real time, they will be sent within 24 hours of receiving a DSAR request AFTER the email has been verified by the requesting subject.
3.) DSAR alerts are not sent on weekends. If a request was received on a Friday, you will not be alerted until Monday.
4.) Certain DSAR alerts are configured to alert teams to NEW requests that have been received. If the request is seen and acted on before the next notification is sent (i.e. a member of the team verifies the identity or assigns tasks), the notification will be nullified.
Q: Why haven't I received any Script/Cookie Notifications since the first one?
A: The "new script and cookie" notification will only fire again after a republish of your cookie consent code has occurred - this is in an effort to not spam our users during the initial setup phase and to encourage the timely classification of content.
Ex. New Cookies Discovered > Alert Sent > You Classify the Cookies > Publish > New Cookies Discovered > Alert Sent >........ (continuous alerting)
vs.
New Cookies Discovered > Alert Sent > You Classify the Cookies > No Publish Action occurs > New Cookies Discovered > Alert NOT Sent
If you would like "daily" alerts during your early setup phases, we'd recommend the configuration be republished daily.
Q: Can I Isolate Notifications by Organization?
A: Currently notifications cannot be isolated by organization. They are role based only.
