June 2026 Release Notes

Updated 2 months ago

What's new for Osano in June 2026

Note: Any Consent Manager Platform (CMP) changes will be inherited by consent manager configurations after they are republished. Please be sure to test all changes.

Enhancements

  • June 30 5:30 PM CDT

    • Subject Rights

      • We've added a new request type, "Third parties your data was sold or shared with," giving consumers in select states the ability to request information about third-party data sharing directly through the privacy rights request form.

        Availability by state:

        • Oregon

        • Minnesota

        • Connecticut (effective July 1, 2026)

        • Delaware

        • Maryland

      • Please be aware: Effective July 1, 2026, Connecticut also grants consumers these additional rights: the right to access inferences drawn about them, the right to obtain information about profiling, and the right to understand the logic behind automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. If your organization engages in these activities, you can use our custom request type option to add and manage these request types yourself.

  • June 24 12:25 PM CDT

    • Cookie Consent

      • Osano consent banners now display a "Powered by Osano" logo for new accounts and free/development plans. The "Powered by Osano" logo in the consent drawer has also been updated with a refreshed design.

  • June 5 4:00 PM CDT

    • Cookie Consent

      • You now have more control over how Do Not Sell / Share (DNS/S) appears and behaves in your consent experience. Three new settings are available on the Do Not Sell page in your CMP configuration:

        • Disable DNS/S entirely: Remove the DNS/S toggle from your consent drawer if your organization doesn't sell or share personal data.

        • Default DNS/S to enabled: Pre-activate the DNS/S opt-out for visitors before they interact with your banner, so your default matches your privacy policy commitments.

        • Configure responding categories: Choose which categories (Analytics, Targeted Advertising, Personalization) are disabled when a visitor opts out via DNS/S. Previously only Targeted Advertising was affected.
